Locomotor skills are the basic ways to move. They are the building blocks to coordination and we use them daily in many different ways. You need to master these skills to become stronger, more flexible, and a more skilled mover.
Dodging – this skill involves very quick body movements to change direction as a way of avoiding obstacles and opponents. More complex "dodging" may involve movements to deceive other players, so that you can get past them or evade them. To do this skill well, you need to have a low centre of gravity and you need to bend your knees, so that you can shift your body rapidly in another direction.
Look-Fors:
Advanced skills – Can you lean one way, but move in the other (fake)? Is it all done in one fluid motion?

Hopping – is a skill that gets confused with little tiny jumps, but it is when you spring off one foot and land on that same foot. It takes balance and coordination. You use your non-hopping side to provide counterbalance to allow you to hop longer and farther.
